When team members are unclear if they can make decisions on their own, they default into either

  1. calling meetings to make sure everyone else is “on board” or
  2. sending around emails to attempt to gain the same buy-in.

Empowering those individuals clearly and appropriately will reduce the time spent on both of the above.
